Now available on CDBaby and iTunes, this CD includes original songs by Jim Hinton, Celtic instrumentals from the rich Irish tradition of whistle and fiddle tunes, as well as a few other songs in keeping with the loving energy of the album. As always, the band has created a brilliant canvas of sound on a haunting musical background. The soul-felt
music is enhanced by incredible tight-knit harmonies, and the wonderful lyrical voices of the close family band.
Likened to an American "Clannad" and drawing musical inspiration from such varied sources as Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Donovan, and The Incredible String Band (among others), The Strange Woods experience is hard to describe without actually being there! Well worth the chance, Transparency is a journey through heart-space, sometimes broken or sad, always hopeful, and in the end, uplifted and joyful.
